About the retreat
Who is Wild & Rooted for?
Adult women who want movement, nature, creativity, connection and space to rest. The group is expected to be around 12–16 women, with a minimum of 12 needed for the retreat to run.
Do I need to know anyone?
No. You are welcome to come on your own or with a friend. Shared-room guests can request a particular roommate, or be matched with another woman choosing double occupancy.
Is this a yoga retreat? Do I need experience?
Yoga is one part of the experience, alongside walking, creativity, nervous-system education, Scottish culture and rest. No yoga experience is required.
Are activities mandatory?
No. Every activity is an invitation. You can take part, choose an alternative, spend time alone or rest.
Do I need to be fit?
Hiking is optional. If you choose to hike, you should be comfortable walking on uneven terrain, gradual hills and stairs. Other ways to spend your time include relaxing at Ardoch, exploring a village or booking a treatment.
Is this a therapy retreat?
No. This is an educational and experiential retreat, and psychotherapy is not available. It may not be appropriate if you currently need a level of therapeutic support that the retreat cannot provide.
Travel & your stay
Which airport should I fly into?
Glasgow is closest. Edinburgh is also possible. An optional group shuttle from Glasgow Airport is planned at an additional cost; its time and price are to be confirmed.
When can I check in, and when do we leave?
Check-in begins at 11am on Tuesday, July 13, 2027. The group must check out by 10am on Sunday, July 18, 2027. You may arrange additional travel before or after the retreat independently.
What if my flight is delayed?
Contact the retreat leaders as soon as possible so they can help you review shuttle or independent transfer arrangements.
Can I have a private room or share with a friend?
Yes. Private rooms are offered at a premium and subject to availability. You can request a friend as your roommate when booking a shared room.
Are bathrooms private, and is there Wi-Fi?
All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available at Ardoch.
Can dietary requirements be accommodated?
Yes. Share your dietary requirements at registration so the team can work with the chef. Packed lunches are planned for group excursions; final meal arrangements will be confirmed before the retreat.
Pricing & payments
What does the retreat cost?
Early bird prices are $2,995 USD per person in a shared room or $3,395 in a private room until December 1, 2026. Regular prices are $3,400 shared or $3,900 private. Enter code "SAYYES2027" to access early bird pricing! See pricing and payment details.

If you register and pay your deposit after one or more payment due dates have passed, your remaining balance will be divided equally among the remaining scheduled payments. If you register after the final payment due date, full payment is due at registration. All registrations are subject to availability. See the complete payment plan.
What is included—and what costs extra?
Accommodation, Ardoch meals with the stated exceptions, yoga and mindfulness, nervous-system education, creativity, a group walk, sound bath and other listed offerings are included. Airport transfers, optional excursions, treatments, personal costs and one restaurant dinner are extra. See the full inclusions.
What is the cancellation policy?
The deposit includes a $400 non-refundable administration fee per person. Cancellations on or before 31 May 2027 receive a refund of payments less that fee. After 31 May, no refunds are issued unless your place is filled from the waiting list.
Should I arrange travel insurance?
Travel insurance is strongly recommended. Check cover carefully for your travel arrangements and any activities you choose to take part in.
Choice, comfort & the outdoors
What if I don’t want to hike or swim?
You can relax at Ardoch, walk the grounds, read, or explore an optional activity. Swimming is entirely optional and the water will be cold. Watching from the shore is welcome.
What happens if the weather changes?
Some outdoor activities may continue in gentle rain. More severe weather may mean alternative plans. Bring clothing for changing weather, sun protection and midge protection.
What if I need quiet or alone time?
There are many comfortable places around the estate to settle with a cup of tea, as well as your own room. Quiet time and rest are part of the retreat, and you can step away whenever you need to.
